homeschooling help....

WOW its been awhile since my last post MY BAD lol! anyways i have some questions so if you have the answers please send me a comment or email me at mommaof4coolkiddos@yahoo.com

so i have been thinking about homeschooling yet again i say yet again cause i have been thinking about doing it for 4 years now!! but i never do it mostly cause i am lazy and kinda enjoy the peace in the middle of the day when the kids are gone (horrible i know lol) but at the same time i totally miss them and feel like they should be here and i should be teaching them and that i hate the influences at the school from other kids and teachers ya no what i mean!! now Cheyenne REALLY struggles so i do think i should homeschool her cause she needs so much extra help but kyle is so smart its almost ridiculous how smart he is i think i would even go as far as to call him gifted! so i wonder if homeschooling is right for him i mean what if i fail at this and Cheyenne gets worse and kyle falls behind i would feel horrible!

OK anyways the real question i have is what are yalls feelings on sonlight its really expensive but i think something like this would be what i need cause it has everything mapped out and it just looks user friendly ya no so please if you have used this let me know the good and the bad please!

my goal is to save ALL money right now and i mean all i am gonna cut back on soda and no eating out cause i want to be able to afford to buy 3 curriculum's by summer (wow how can i do that pray for me its gonna be hard) i say summer cause i want start in the summer to make sure homeschooling is for me cause if i can't hack it then no harm done i can just enroll them for school when it starts again ya no?? well any advice would be cool thanks guys!

and this is just another omg!

I checked out the link at the bottom of the email. Unfortunately, this is true. It turns my stomach. Please take the minute or so it takes to sign the petition and send this on to your friends and family. May God have mercy on our country.

As most of you know, last night Obama made a public announcement thathe is going to sign the Freedom Of Choice Act, which will allow alltypes of abortions including partial birth abortions, also allowingbabies who are born alive due to botched up late term abortions, to beset aside without any medical care or nourishment and left to die(most of these babies have no medical problems and most of the onesthat do, have things like cleft palates, club feet, things that arecorrectable, still they are murdered in the most cruel and inhumanway. They feel everything that is happening to them. There is moremercy for dogs that are put to sleep) This Bill also will make itmandatory for doctors and nurses to perform this murderous act even ifthey do not want to do so. This act also allows under age teens tohave an abortion, even partial birth abortions, without parentalconsent.Catholic Bishops have pleaded with Obama not to go ahead with thishorrible murder of innocent babies. They have also told Obama that ifhe persists in signing this Bill which would require even CatholicHospitals to perform these acts of murder, they will have no choicebut to close all Catholic Hospitals. Please let us join with thesecourageous Bishops who will go to any length to change Obama's mind. Please take a minute to sign this statement and let our voices beheard. This is a great, informative website. You can click on the video ofObama's speech to the Planned Parenthood group where he promised thatthe first thing he would do if elected President would be to sign theFreedom Of Choice Act. He isn't even in the White House yet and hemade a statement last night that he will go forward with his plans tosign this outrageous bill. He still can change his mind because theBill cannot be signed until he is actually the President. Please let your family and friends know about this Bill and ask themto also sign this petition. Even those who voted for Obama would notwant him to sign this Bill. May God have mercy on our country for thesake of the millions who would never agree with this Bill if theyfully understood all that it encompasses. Please click on the web sitebelow. It will take less than a minute of your time, doesn't costanything and God will bless you for standing up for Him and Histeachings."The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is that good peopledo nothing"

all i can really say to this is omg!

UPDATE:: I FIXED ALL THE LINKS ;)

FOCA is horrible. Have you seen this? In Belgium, doctors can kill children up to 12 months old "if they feel the baby is somehow disabled or deficient." They call it assisted suicide. Really. And, they don't need the parents' consent to do it.

UN Report: Belgium

Watching Out for Her Little OnesBelgium and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child
Winter is finally upon us, ushering in the joys of the holidays and, at least for most of the country, the arrival of cold weather. As the temperature falls and the days get shorter, Moms and Dads brace themselves for the first signs of inevitable winter sicknesses: everything from a simple cough and=2 0cold to wheezing, strep, and the dreaded stomach flu. For many Americans, the solution to these illnesses is a simple medication, or perhaps vaccination in certain cases, but the choice of proper treatment is left to the parents.
Now imagine a place where the government threatens parents with fines, or even jail time, if they refuse to vaccinate their children - all in the name of “watching out” for the best interests of “its” children. Imagine a country that permits doctors to terminate the lives of “deficient” children up to a year old, even without parental consent, for the sake of “a better society”. To find such a place, you need look no further than the nation of Belgium.
This Won’t Hurt a Bit . . .
In March 2008, Belgium made international headlines when it sentenced two sets of Belgian parents to five months in prison, and fined them 4,100 euros ($8,000).1 The crime? Failing to vaccinate their children against polio. The government, hiding behind privacy laws, declined to comment on why the parents had refused the vaccine in the first place, or how long a reprieve they had been given in which to comply before going to jail.2
Unlike the United States, which allows most parents to refuse vaccinations based on religious or philosophical objections, Belgian parents can only opt-out of vaccinations if they can prove that their child might have a bad physical reaction to the vaccine.3 In the absence of such proof, Belgian parents have no choice but to either consent to vaccinations, or accept the criminal punishments that accompany refusal.
Monitoring Their Education
According to the United Nations, Belgium has the best education system among all developed nations.4 The Belgian government is also deeply involved in education. Parents can place their children in community schools, or in public or private schools.5 Unlike their American counterparts, however, Belgium’s “private schools” are not strictly run by private individuals, but receive subsidies from the government, along with significant oversight from national and local education ministries.6 All schools - even within the home - are required to teach children “respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms and the cultural values of the child and others,” under Article 29 of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.7 Public, private, and home schools are all inspected by the government to insure compliance, and disobedience could result in the children being placed in a school of the government’s choosing.8
Unfortunately, Belgians are discovering too late that it is difficult to rein in the government once it gains power in all schools. In September 20 06, the town of Merchtem banned all persons in local schools from speaking French, even though the town is only nine miles from Brussels, a French-speaking metropolis.9 Anyone caught speaking anything other than Dutch on school premises - even parents picking up their children - is subject to reprimands.10 Parents are not even allowed to have parents’ meetings in their native language, but must use an interpreter instead.11
In 2008, the town of Liedekerke - also near Brussels - followed suit by banning French-speaking children from holiday outings.12 According to Marc Mertens, secretary of Liedekerke’s town council, public outings should have “a Dutch character,” and monitors should be able to “refuse children who ‘disturb’ the outings.” Of course, Mr. Mertens said, smiling, “one can understand ‘disturb’ in different ways.”13
Building a Better Society
The Belgian government’s authority over the health and education of its children is deemed by many as a mark of progress toward a “better society” where children’s rights are properly recognized and protected. Those that satisfy the government’s standards live in peace. For the rest, there is no peace, and sometimes, they are not even allowed to live.Since 2002, Belgium has allowed doctors to terminate the lives of infants under the age of 12 months if they feel the baby is somehow disabled or deficient, and is likely to suffer in life as a result.14 More than half of the Belgian babies who die before they are a year old are killed by deliberate medical intervention.15 In 16% of cases, parental consent was not even considered.16 To put these numbers in perspective, the CIA World Fact Book estimates that roughly 106,000 babies are born in Belgium each year.17 Even using conservative estimates of Belgium’s rate of “assisted-suicide” in infants, one can estimate that some 470 children will die before they celebrate their first birthday. Of these 470, more than 200 will die not from natural causes, but from direct medical intervention. Forty (40) of them will die regardless of their parents’ wishes, objections, or pleadings. Such a program might produce a “better society,” but one is left in horror at the ultimate sacrifice of innocent babies.
Unfortunately, the program has been deemed so “successful” in Belgium that in March 2008, the government began considering legislation that would also make assisted-suicide available to teenagers and younger children who are terminally-ill.18
In Belgium’s Shadow
Although much of American society still largely resists government control of children and their families, shadows of Belgium’s pro-government approach are being cast upon our shores. In November 2007, parents in Prince George’s County, M aryland were shocked and outraged when they were ordered to take their children in for shots, or face fines and jail time.19 “Our goal is to get kids in school, not to put parents in jail,” said Glenn Ivey, the county’s attorney, “but if parents continue to be recalcitrant, they face up to 10 days in jail and a $50 a day fine.”
The drastic measures had parents and physicians up in arms. Dr. William Schaffner of the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine described the county’s hard-nosed stance as “grabbing the parents by the collars and saying, ‘You must vaccinate your children.’”20 Dierdre Young, the mother of a high school freshman and junior, agreed: “What good are you going do if you lock up the parents? Then the parents can’t feed [their children]. They still can’t come to school. They still don’t have their shots. So what have you solved?”21
Someone in Belgium must have forgotten to ask that question.

our day..

man today has been a long day it was a good day thou the computer and phone were out since around 9am or so and i just figured it was one of those things and it would pop back on later but 7pm rolled around and still noting so i called and they reset the system and now its working but in a way i am glad i waited all day for it to get fixed cause it was nice not coming to the computer 100 times a day seeing if chad wrote or just doing whatever!! i ended up making a big breakfast and lunch and we went on a bike ride i had to air up all the tires first grrr but finally we got to go and it was good it felt nice to ride my bike again its been awhile!! but then we found some cool trash laying out so we had to come home and get the van lol but we were all hot and sweaty by then anyways so it was time!!! so when we finally got back home after dumpster diving haha we all had some ice cream cones i had 4 omg right??!! i feel like crap now thou but i suppose it serves me right haha!! i am not really sure what we are gonna be doing this week coming up but we do need to make it fun since the kids are gonna be going to school the following week!! now while i am sad they are gonna be going i am also kinda happy cause it will make the time and days go by faster and before we all know it chad will be home!! but i still wish i could have done the virtual homeschooling thing with them and i hope next year duval county is on the ball and has a program up and running cause we do still have 2 years here and if they go as slow as this last year went it will probably feel like 10 its so lonely not ever having chad here its crazy we have only seen him 5 mts in the 12mts and when he gets back sadly they will be leaving soon after it really makes you hate the navy and everything about it ya no!! but i guess it could be worse i could be an army wife and if that was the case he would be gone for a 18mths at a time and boy that's just to long!! well anyways.....

Saturday, August 2

man..

i swear sometimes i feel like all i do is just stress out about little things well today is a bigger thing i got an email from connections academy saying that my district will not be working with them so now i have to either enroll the kids back at nasty finegan or home school them and they are really wanting to be homeschooled now since its all we have been talking about this summer and i want to do it but there is just so much stuff out there and i feel so overwhelmed but really i have no clue what i am gonna do at this point and i really need to decide soon since school starts in like 17 days but really all i wanna do is scream lol...

Tuesday, July 29

something new...

so i have decided to start something new i am getting kinda tired and bored with writing the to do list off every day but i really need them cause without them i don't get half the stuff done i want to get done so i am thinking about making a daily routine and while most will be the same everyday i will add about 5 different things to each day that i just want to get done weekly like changing the cat litter out or mopping the floors ect ect and i think this way i can just copy and paste what i am gonna be doing and i can also print it out instead of coming to the computer 10 million times a day i will still keep track of everything online also when i take a break or at the end of the day thou cause it kinda keeps me accountable ya no lol!! well i am off to try this new routine out so wish me luck cause i have never been good with a routine lol!!

Saturday, July 26

yeah...

well i did not get a lot of cleaning done yesterday we went to the beach and when we go to the beach that pretty much makes us LAZY for the rest of the day haha!! so today we are gonna get a little cleaning done and then go back to the stinking store cause i forgot sunblock!!! and after we get back home we will probably eat lunch and go to the pool or beach i am not sure which yet i am banking on the pool thou cause its so much cleaner i can't believe we never went last year i was just to worried about what people thought then now i really could care less and its not just cause i am pregnant and have an excuse for having a "momma belly" lol its cause who freakin cares what others think life is just to short and can change so fast so i really don't care that i am very white any more or that i have stretch marks all over my body hahahaha in fact i kinda like them lol but anyways...so yeah other then that things are going great i get a little bored and lonely alot but i guess having this blog gives me someone to talk to when i need it lol cause i am to anti-social to make friends i suppose or maybe i am just to picky no really i think i just like doing my own thing and other people just kinda cramp my style i guess humm who knows...

Sunday, July 20

OK enough of my rant later guys....

Sunday, July 6

wow...

well there is noting like seeing your neighbor getting arrested for god knows what cause now there are cops and a fire truck and an ambulance over there to remember things like food thawing out from an open freezer and kids acting crazy being kids to make you remember that somethings really are not that big of a deal and that i need to calm down and count my blessings!! man i really hope everyone one is OK and that he did not hurt his wife or there kids!!!

Tuesday, June 3

your kryptonite.....

so last night me and the kids were watching the newer superman movie and kyle said mom whats your kryptonite and i said hummmm probably soda and junk food and he laughed and said me to but also candy and Cheyenne yells off thats not yalls kryptonite cause it won't kill you i actually have one mines penicillin and apples so Cody yells yeah and mines mosquito bites haha and it got me thinking about what my kryptonite really is and while it is in a way soda and junk food it got me thinking maybe my negative attitude and somewhat lifestyle is also and not to mention the things that go on in my mind!! so i am thinking starting right now i am gonna try so hard to be more positive and open minded about things instead of always thinking of the bad that will happen so here's day one of my quest lol!!
