so i have been a little lazy...
well i guess its been awhile so i better write today i have been pretty lazy and not really in the mood to blog for some reason but i am just sitting here feeding Caleb so i figured why not! we have been doing really good last Monday at the no dough dinner at the USO ( this is a free dinner that the USO hosts about twice a month for military members and there family's) but anyways we won a 50 dollar gift card to BJ'S (kinda like Sam's club) the only bummer about the card is we do not have a membership so once i buy the member card i will only have 20 bucks left but still free is free and maybe i will love BJ'S and really i am sure i will since we have a pretty good size family and buying in bulk is usually the way to go but we will see! also the USO has free bread and baked goods donated from local stores (foodlion, publix, and fresh market) sure they are either about to expire or just did the day before but they are still good yesterday i got 3 large packages of cookies (very yummy ones to) and i got a package of Christmas mints, 2 packs of dinner rolls, about 5 or 6 packs of peanuts and 5 or 6 packs of sunflower seeds and just some random other things i probably left with about 60 bucks in stuff so i was very happy this was actually my first time going without it being during the no dough dinner i never went before because i thought it would be embarrassing but no one even paid any attention to me so that was awesome and i will totally be back on Thursday!! well i guess i need to go later guys

With me being disabled, we have more than once run into situations where money has run very tight and we have had to go to the food pantry such as a church or the catholic charities. They do treat you with respect and give you what they can. Rick, my husband was off of work for 4 months due to an injury and me on SSD, we were really hurting and they were so good to us, helping us with food. We still needed a lot more help but we wouldn't have made it through that time with out them. Don't ever feel embarrassed to get help from people when they are willing to give it to you. You are not a "beggar", a "low life" or any other demeaning phrase. You are simply in a position at that time in your life that you could use a helping hand. Take advantage of their love and caring and know that at some other time, you may be able to help someone else out, like I did this week to another friend who needed food. I loaded up a big box with canned goods and boxed goods, because now we were in a better position to help him. We still are not in a good position, just better than we were and I wanted to help him out. Pay it forward, when you can. :) Lisa
